Logan's first observation on her initial impressions was regarding the culture and values of the program."The thing that stood out the most for me was they recruit people first, people that fit into their culture." Logan said. Logan considers the program's values to be highly important and felt this way while on campus. "I've gotten to know Coach Jensen pretty well, and she is one of the most genuine people someone could ever meet. It was apparent that when I met Coach Bluder and her staff, they had the same values. Coach Bluder has done an amazing job with her staff." Logan said. Logan and her family were greatly influenced by the culture and personality. Logan places high value on finding the perfect match. "For me its really about the fit. Being able to have a positive support group and accountability in a program. That is something that stood out. The coaching staff, From Lisa and Jan, all the way down did an impressive job emphasizing accountability at all levels, but also building players up." Logan said.
Girias is grateful for the warm welcome extended by the Hawkeye players and gained valuable insights from athletes such as Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin, Sharon Goodman, and Sydney Affolter. "The players were all very welcoming and kind, from shoot around to practice and after at lunch. Caitlin, Kate, Sharon and Syd went out of their way to make me feel welcome while we ate". Logan demonstrates a high level of maturity and recognizes the significance of team spirit. "Connecting with a program is most important to me and Iowa seems to really do a good job of that with their players". Logan talked about how her strengths fit Iowa's system. "My strength is my shooting ability and stretching the floor offensively. I like to get up and down, push the tempo, and create for others and Iowa likes to do that. Another thing I take a lot of pride in is my defensive pressure and loving to defend. Coach Jensen mentioned that specifically, my ability to do both. I feel like this compliments my style, as well as theirs." Logan said.
Iowa made a huge impact on Logan Girias and her family. Recognized for her exceptional talent, Logan is poised to have a remarkable summer during this AAU season. She has garnered acclaim as one of the standout prospects in the 2028 class, attracting attention from esteemed Power 5 programs including the Pac 12, Big 10, Big 12, and others.
