Impact Performers: NIKE EYBL Session 2 Legacy Sports AZ

At the Legacy Sports Nike EYBL Boys' Session 2 that took place in Phoenix, AZ, numerous players stood out and left a lasting impression. Regardless of their class, certain prospects made a more significant impact than others. Here are the most noteworthy prospects who created an impact.

26' Brandon McCoy J.R. Guard 6'4 (AZ Unity)

At the event, the freshman guard hailing from St. John Bosco High School stood out as one of the top players. Brandon possesses a unique set of skills that enables him to influence the game on both offense and defense. He utilizes his impressive instincts to disrupt passing lanes and can competently play either guard position due to his hybrid skillset. The Nightrydas team from South Florida, who boasts one of America's most dynamic prospects, Cameron Boozer, witnessed an outstanding performance by Brandon McCoy J.R., where he scored a game-high 29 points. Many scouts and coaches present at the event took notice of his talent, resulting in offers from several Division 1 programs such as Oregon, Washington, Louisville, Cal, and others expressing their interest. McCoy J.R. is undoubtedly one of the most promising prospects in America and deserves close attention.

25' Jovani Ruff Guard 6'5 (Why Not)

During our evaluation of EYBL Session 2, Jovani emerged as one of the most outstanding competitors and disruptive defenders. He demonstrated his proficiency on every possession, infusing his team with defensive energy. A fluid fundamental guard, he possesses a wealth of offensive skills that surpass even those seen in college. His footwork is exceptional, and he is a shifty ball handler who can create opportunities for himself and his teammates. It's no surprise that he has already received offers from several Division 1 programs, and we expect that more schools will be reaching out to him soon. In short, Jovani is a player to watch this summer, and his ranking is sure to skyrocket.

27' Jaylan Mitchell Wing 6'7 (Brad Beal Elite)

Observing Jaylan Mitchell's game, his 8th-grade status would not be apparent. He is a dominant wing player who can seamlessly adapt to any team's system. His versatility is evident as he can perform off the dribble, post ups, catch and shoot, and executing off-ball movements while also being a offensive rebounder. His physicality and skill level have made it challenging for opposing defenses to contain him. Will be a highly touted prospect and has all the intangibles to be a top prospect in his class.

25' Jaion Pitt Wing 6'7 (AZ Unity)

Jaion Pitt has been the most efficient player in EYBL Session 1 & 2. His exceptional rebounding and interior defense skills have been remarkable. He has also showcased his scoring ability around the rim with great finesse, even through contact. Additionally, his impressive triple threat skill set allows him to effortlessly get paint touches and rip through defenses. With such a remarkable performance, it is no wonder that his recruiting is expected to heat up in July. It will be interesting to see how he progresses throughout the season and what opportunities come his way.

25' Trent Maclean Wing 6'9 (Strive For Greatness)

Trent Maclean is a hybrid Wing player who possesses a distinct set of skills. He has an ideal combination of height, skill, length, and intelligence. He effectively drove closeouts and displayed impressive scoring ability off the dribble. We have evaluated numerous players this spring/summer, and his shooting foundation is among the best we have seen so far. Trent excels in footwork when taking his shot and shoots deep balls with ease while finishing with excellent extension. It is worth noting that he has much more potential to unlock in the future.

25' Jaylon Dean-Vines Guard 6'4 (Team Griffin)

Jaylon Dean-Vines is an exceptional athlete who displays a competitive advantage on both offense and defense. He effortlessly dashes towards the rim and can finish above it with ease. His explosive speed in open play makes it difficult for opponents to contain him during transitions. Besides, he exerts pressure on the opposing team in both half-court and full-court scenarios, thanks to his quick lateral movement. Recently, UT-Arlington's Coach KT Turner recognized his talent, resulting in Jaylon receiving his first Division 1 offer from them.
