2028 Guard Logan Girias Commits to Montana

Logan Girias, a talented guard out of Maple Valley, Washington, has announced her commitment to the University of Montana. A standout with META Hoops 3SSB, Girias has already established herself as one of the most intriguing young prospects in the Class of 2028. Known for her shooting ability and relentless two-way motor, she projects as a cornerstone addition to the Lady Griz future.

At 5’7, Girias is a knockdown shooter, deadly from beyond the arc, and highly effective creating shots off the bounce or out of the pick-and-roll. Her versatility as a scorer, coupled with her ability to make plays for others, makes her a dynamic backcourt piece.

On Her Game

“I would describe my game as relentless. I love to lock up on defense and set the tone while encouraging my teammates. I feel Montana is getting a player who can make an impact on both ends of the floor while being a great teammate and helping to accomplish the program’s goals.

My uptempo, downhill approach leads to finding open teammates in transition, and my ability to shoot it helps stretch the floor. They’re getting a player who brings energy and confidence, promotes competition and growth, and provides a ‘lead by example’ mentality. I will do everything I can to improve not only myself but also what I need to be for the team.”

BTN Scouting Take: Girias combines confident shot-making with a defensive edge and a team-first mindset. Her ability to both score and facilitate makes her a valuable guard in Montana’s system, while her competitiveness and leadership will raise the bar for teammates.

Why Montana?

“What stood out about Montana was the family environment. Spending time with the coaching staff and players, it automatically felt like home. A lot of coaches will just tell you what you want to hear, but at Montana, their sincerity made me feel like there was no better place to be.

Their program brings purpose and passion to the floor, and the culture they are building is honestly irresistible. Montana has always been a place I hoped to be since I was little, and when they checked all my boxes, it was obvious they were the place I wanted to be.”

BTN Note: Beyond facilities or competition, the Lady Griz culture resonated most with Girias. The family-first approach, sincerity from the staff, and tradition of Montana basketball played a major role in her decision.

Factors in Her Commitment

“From Coach Nate, Coach Lindsay, all the way down, the entire staff showed me how invested they are in me — not just in basketball but as a person. My family has supported me so much throughout this process, and being able to play close enough for them to watch in person makes it even better.

It felt like committing early was the right decision. Coach Nate has committed to me and my family, as well as the Lady Griz family. I knew God would provide the right opportunity at the right time, and Montana was it.

Being the cornerstone of the 2028 class and helping recruit other great players to win a Big Sky Championship is truly a dream come true. Go Griz!”
